On top of the mountain above Camp 2, Sediments Creek. The trek up is steep but easy and passes through beautiful flower fields along the way.

Note the color difference between the creek and the river. This was by Camp 3 below O'Connor River.
While looking for the native rock carvings on Petroglyph Island a young brown bear appeared out of the dense forest and started roaming the gravel bars looking for something to eat. Not particularly afraid but he kept a good distance from us at all times.

Camp 4 at  the Melt Creek meadows

Looking down Melt Creek towards Tatshenshini River. Noisy Range in the background.

Camp 6, Walker Glacier. A magnificent glacier with massive crevasses throughout.

The size of the crevasses on Walker Glacier are not nearly justified by this photo

This large Black Bear decided to cross the lower part of Walker Glacier just behind us. He did not seem particularly concerned about our presence. It was a bear on a mission.

Another raft group consisting of mostly Parks Canada and National Park Services staff floating calmly down Alsek River below Walker Glacier in the morning mist.

From the last hill before entering Alsek Lake we got a great view of the area.
The sun is setting over the Alsek Glacier and the surrounding mountains.

Camp 8, on the island in Alsek lake. One of my favorite camps along the trip. The view over to Alsek Glacier and over the lake in front is breathtaking.

Ice sculptures are frequent all over Alsek Lake

Aerial view of Alsek Lake and Alsek Glacier  from the Cessna 207 on the return to Whitehorse, Yukon.
Camp 8 was located on the backside of the island in the middle.
